The Victorian Scout Bushwalking Support Team is
an activity team whose reason for being is to support
the Leaders and Youth members of Scouting Victoria
in their pursiouit of the activity of Bushwalking.
This Support could be in the form of ..
- Training for Leaders or Youth
- The provision of Resources
- Ideas of where to go and what to do
- Hire of Equipment , for instance GPS
- Advice and assistance to undertake new locations
and activities.
All of the team members are either active Scouting
Leaders or Activity Leaders and are lead by the
Branch Activity Leader - Bushwalking.
The Bushwalking Support Team also run a Walking
Club called the Scout Bushwalkers who undertake
regular walks of all sorts intended for Adults in
Scouting and their friends and families.
This is a chance for Leaders to gain some experience
without their youth members in attendance, and a
chance to spend some time'in the bush' with other
leaders in the same situation.
The Scout Bushwalkers is a club that is a member
of the Federation of Victorian Walking Clubs.
